David Lee Captures Second Player of the Week Honor

Following a record setting game, Augustana’s sophomore quarterback David Lee has been named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week for a second time this year.  Lee threw for 422 yards (25-34 & two touchdowns) in an Augie victory over Millikin on November 14th, dethroning NFL MVP Ken Anderson from the top of the record books.  Only one week earlier, Lee topped Anderson’s record for completions in a single game in a tough loss to North Central.

Lee led the Vikings to a 6-4 overall record and a 4-3 mark in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin.  He finished the season with 1,714 yards passing and a .641 completion percentage, 10 passing touchdowns with only six interceptions.  Showing his versatility, Lee also rushed for six touchdowns.  His sensational season placed Lee in second place for single season passing yardage, behind only Ken Anderson, and in one year places Lee ninth in career passing yardage as well.
